Aluminum Enclosure Die Casting Mold
Moldie designs and builds die casting molds for aluminum enclosure components, including programs aimed at higher production volumes where mold durability and tryout loops are planned with the customer. We deliver production-ready mold tooling matched to your enclosure drawings and production requirements.
What this mold is for
This page covers mold tooling for aluminum enclosures. Typical discussions include enclosure sealing faces, EMI or gasket lands as drawn, mounting bosses, and tryout review. Casting alloy choice (aluminum alloys as specified for the part) is separate from mold steel selection for the die.
Tooling scope
- DFM review for enclosure sealing faces, bosses, and machining stock
- Mold design: parting, gating, runners, overflow, venting, and ejection for enclosure cavities
- CNC machining of cavities/cores, fitting, and assembly
- Tryout support and dimensional feedback for aluminum enclosure samples
Materials note
Part alloy (aluminum alloys such as ADC12, A380, or AlSi grades as specified for the part) and mold steel (tool steel with appropriate hardness for die casting dies) are specified separately. Do not treat part-alloy hardness or surface treatments as mold-steel heat treatment.
